Sportico and Kevin Weekes will be on the red carpet for Sunday’s Golden Globes.
Weekes, the NHL television analyst and former goaltender, will talk with some of the biggest names in entertainment about their sports fandom as well as the business of sports.
Presenters for the award show include other A-listers with connections to the sports world. Beyond his storied WWE career, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also a part-owner of the UFL, the spring football league that’s preparing for its second season since his XFL and the USFL merged in late 2023.
Rob McElhenney, along with Ryan Reynolds, helped catapult Wrexham AFC into a global brand after the duo bought the team for $2.5 million in 2020. (The pair also bought stakes in Mexican soccer team Club Necaxa and F1’s Alpine Racing, the latter being valued at $1.5 billion in Sportico’s F1 valuations.)
Salma Hayek Pinault’s husband, Francois Henri Pinault, owns CAA, one of the most prominent agencies in sports, media and entertainment.
Comedian Nikki Glazer, whose profile grew after her set during The Greatest Roasts of All Time: Tom Brady, will host the Globes for the first time. This year, Emilia Pérez leads all films and shows with 10 nominations, followed by seven for The Brutalist, six for Conclave and five apiece for The Substance and Anora.
The Golden Globe Awards are owned by Sportico parent company Penske Media.
