NEW YORK — Today, Sportico and Athena Elite Sports announced the launch of Next Gen Sports Lab, a summer program designed to immerse high school students in the dynamic world of professional sports. This unique residential program set to take place from June 29 to July 12, 2025, offers teenagers ages 14-18 an opportunity to explore the $600 billion sports industry through hands-on experiences and access to leaders in the industry.
Based in New York City, participants will be housed at Columbia University, with daily programming and interactive workshops hosted at Sportico’s offices in midtown Manhattan as well as other prominent sports venues throughout the city. Leveraging Sportico’s vast network of industry professionals, the program will provide students with behind-the-scenes access and practical assignments that bring the sports world to life. Through a carefully crafted curriculum, expert-led workshops supplemented by guest lecturers and exclusive site visits, the program aims to inspire and prepare the next generation of sports industry professionals.
